The Love Story of Houyi and Chang'e

Once upon a time, there was a famous archer named Houyi who saved the world by shooting down nine suns. The people loved and admired him, but he only had eyes for one person - his beloved wife Chang'e.

Their Unbreakable Bond

Houyi and Chang'e were devoted to each other and their love was unbreakable. They would spend hours talking, laughing and stargazing together under the moonlight. They were inseparable and nothing could ever come between them.

One day, a wicked man came to Houyi and offered him a potion that would make him immortal. Houyi knew the dangers of immortality and refused to take it. However, the wicked man secretly gave the potion to Chang'e knowing that she was curious and would drink it.

The Separation

After drinking the potion, Chang'e became immortal and was lifted off the ground and ascended into the heavens. She was devastated to leave her dear husband behind and Houyi was heartbroken to lose his beloved wife. He cried out to the heavens, begging for her return, but to no avail.

Despite being separated, their love endured. Houyi would shoot arrows into the sky and leave food offerings for Chang'e, hoping she would feel his love and presence. Meanwhile, Chang'e would look down on earth and long to be with her beloved husband once again.

The Reunion

Years went by and Houyi missed Chang'e more and more each day. He decided to climb a tall mountain to be closer to Chang'e and the heavens above. As he reached the summit, he saw Chang'e on the moon and their eyes met. Houyi noticed that Chang'e was holding a rabbit and a potion.

Chang'e explained that the potion was the elixir of life and that drinking it together would make them both immortal and able to stay together forever. Houyi then accepted the potion and they drank it together. From then on, Houyi and Chang'e lived happily ever after, spending eternity with each other under the moonlight.

Their love story is a reminder that true love can withstand any obstacle and last forever.
